Description

Drostanolone Propionate (Masteron, Mastron) is an anabolic steroid derived from Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Specifically, it is a DHT that has been structurally modified by the addition of a methyl group at the carbon 2 position. This protects the steroid from metabolic breakdown by the 3-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase enzyme, which is found in the muscles. The methylation also significantly increases the steroid’s anabolic potential. Subsequently, the propionic acid ester is added in order to delay the steroid’s release time into the body from the injection site.
